10 Minute Play Festival
Faculty Mentors

Faculty Advisors/Mentors Needed

Directing Advisors

As a part of the 10-Minute Play Festival, we are seeking six enthusiastic faculty directing advisors from throughout the region to guide the process of staging the "winning" scripts. We are seeking director/educators who have experience in working with students on new plays, and are dedicated to the collaborative process of working with young playwrights in developing and staging new texts. Faculty advisor / mentors will need to be present during the entire Regional Festival (Tuesday - Saturday). Interested faculty directors should submit the following materials to Steve Reynolds by November 8, 2005.

· Letter of Application and Interest
· Resume (including a list of past work with new scripts)
· Statement of Availability for Regional Festival

Faculty Readers Needed for Selection Team

We are currently seeking theatre faculty members from throughout the region who are interested in serving on the newly-created screening and selection committee for the Regional 10-Minute and One Act Competitions. We have worked out a system that will NOT overwhelm any reader! With over 110 entries last year, we have had to develop an effective and time-efficient way to select finalists for the competitions. If you are willing to read and evaluate student play submissions, please contact Steve Reynolds by November 8.

Playwriting Presentations and Workshops Needed

If you teach playwriting and would be willing to present a workshop at the Region III Festival, please contact Steve Reynolds by December 1. We are attempting to enhance and increase the playwriting activities offered at the Festival; your input is needed.

Playwriting Program Respondents Needed

Due to the significant increase in the number of new student-written plays produced and entered as associate and participating entries in Region III, we are looking for additional respondents who have experience and interest in seeing and responding to new student works. Please contact Steve Reynolds to volunteer to respond to new associate entries!

Questions? All questions regarding the regional National Playwriting Program should be directed to Steve Reynolds.
